CHW visits Christ Collegiate School – Located in the heart of Cuttack city, this impressive colonial building presents a heart wrenching story of human callousness, indifference and neglect.
It is in a sad state of disrepair and decay. Roots of vegetation reaching into the insides of the building make a pathetic sight. The building has been rightly declared unsafe and the classes are being held elsewhere.
It has a rich history and an excellent roaster of alumnae. Neither the people involved in it’s management, nor it’s former students or the government of the day have done anything substantial to save this grand old building dating back to the last decades of the nineteenth century.
Now is the time to act or else this grand beauty will crumble into dust. And that will make us sad and guilty. History will not be kind to us.
Let’s save this beautiful structure of un-paralalled elegance. Please.
