The 2nd site was the 400+ years old heritage Mazar of Syed Ali Bukhari Baba. The maulvi there explained us the history of the dargah & the legend of Bukhari Baba who had come from Bukhara in Uzbekistan. The next stop was the entry gate of Barabati Fort, the only standing proof of the majestic fort surrounded by moat. The fort was heavily fortified with only one entry gate with cantilever. The entry gate monument has now become the landmark of Cuttack Silver City & has been used extensively in postage stamps, logos etc.
The next stop was at Judicial Museum after passing through Fateh Shahi Masjid & Gadachandi Mandira, all inside the Barabati Fort campus. Made in 1904 by the Britishers, it was the official residence of British heads for Odisha, the CMs of Odisha & finally Chief Justice of Odisha High Court (in Cuttack) till 2012. It was converted into a museum & finally opened for public on 12th Nov 2017. It is an noble effort to showcase the history, evolution & commitment of judiciary to public visitors. Old typewriter, computing machine, court seals & even judicial books used by Barrister Madhusudan Das were displayed there.
