Cuttack Heritage Walk of 22.07.2023. Ravenshaw Collegiate School is the oldest High School of Odisha which was established in 1851 by Thomas Edward Ravenshaw in Cuttack. A new building was constructed in 1905, and the school is still operating from this heritage building. No wonder, the alumni list of Ravenshaw Collegiate School reads like a directory of Who’s Who. It comprises of nationalist leaders like Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, Founder of Indian National Army, Freedom fighter Sri Madhusudan Das, Sri Bijayananda Patnaik, an eminent politician and entrepreneur, many noted artists, able administrators, judges and other prominent people from different walks of life. One will find some antiques like the Iron chest, locks, wooden almiras, school bell stand, large louvered doors and windows of British Era, in this heritage school.
