Cradle of Odissi: Cuttack (Talk presented by Professor Dr Kanishka Das) The worldwide popularity of Odissi dance, a unique form of classical Indian dance, was initiated from the millennium city of Cuttack. It is undoubtedly the heritage of Cuttack. Prof. Das is a multi-faceted personality being a Doctor, a Dancer, an Orator and an Author. Professor Das is one of the finest Pediatric Surgeons in the country. With a brilliant academic and professional career, he is an exponent of Odissi and Bharat Natyam. Dance is there in the family, all the four siblings are trained dancers. Presently he is with the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Bhubaneswar.
